Living Earth:

Collaboration Works of Robie Benve and Dawn Petrill

A colorful landscape artwork that was created as a collaborative work between Dawn Petrill and Robie Benve

Robie and Dawn have met periodically over the past year to share their unique ideas and techniques. This exhibit reveals works inspired by one another, alongside collaboration paintings and installation pieces, all rooted in their shared love of the natural world. This partnership was made possible by the OAL Mentorship Grant.

President's Corner

August is another big month for OAL! This includes the opening reception for “Reflections on America at 250” and “Living Earth.” As well as a call for entries for our annual Fall Juried Exhibition, and “Mindful: The Art of Observation.”

The opening reception for “Reflections on America at 250” will be at the Ross Museum, August 13th, from 5-7pm. This exhibition includes over sixty works from member artists exploring the richness and complexity of the American experience 250 years in. It includes both contemporary and traditional works.

The call for member submissions to our Fall Juried Exhibition is currently open through August 16th. The exhibition will be held at the Pearl Conrad Gallery in Mansfield. Special thanks to our guest juror Elizabeth Gerdeman.

We are also accepting submissions for “Mindful: The Art of Observation” through August 31st. This exhibition welcomes diverse interpretations of what it means to observe. The exhibition will be held at Broad Street Presbyterian Church.

“Living Earth” a collaboration of works of Robie Benve and Dawn Petrill opens at RAW Gallery, August 29th, from 2-4pm. This exhibition is made possible through the Ohio Art League’s Mentorship program.
